I Got a Really Freaky Tarot Card Reading. What to Do?
I got a really freaky tarot card reading. what to do?
Nothing really seemed to work in my direction. It was all freaky or terrible. I’m trying to convince myself that it isn’t true, and deep down I know it isn’t, but I just want to know by tarot definition: do I really have such a lack of control over my life that no matter what I do, I’ll end up with the same result?

Tarot cards are nothing. Live life to the fullest, even if there is the slightest chance of it going wrong.
Quite possibly the most popular, and impatiently awaited, card of any Tarot reading is in the Future or Outcome Position. So many clients want to get to this card so fast, that they tend to get annoyed with the Tarot reader for not getting right to it. These particular clients should have probably opted for the One Card Yes or No spread. That one tells them right away if what they want is going to happen or not.
The Future card is exactly what it says. It shows where the client’s future is headed on a given path. As many Tarot readers will tell their clients, the future is not set in stone. If you are not happy with where it seems to be heading, simply change the present. Doing so will change the future. Therefore, the rest of the cards in a Five Card spread are just as important as the Tarot card showing up in the Future position. Having taken the information from the cards in the Past, Present, Hidden Influences, Advice positions, the Future tarot card meaning is revealed last. If you were to simply skip over the rest of these cards in a Tarot reading, and go straight to the Future or Outcome card, the client may be very confused. If the outcome is not what the client was hoping it would be, the next question is going to be “WHY?” This is the very reason that a reading must be complete, and explained in order of the cards’ positions. The rest of the Tarot card meanings will explain why the outcome is predicted the way it is. The important thing to understand about the Tarot card in the Future position is that it does not have to be the FINAL outcome. It is simply showing the client where things are headed at that particular point in time. If the suggested Future is not what is desired, show the client what can be changed to alter the current outcome. An example of this is a young woman coming to you for a reading. She is making plans to be married and insists she is happier than she has ever been in her life. However, her cards suggest otherwise. The Future card shows that this marriage is headed for disaster in a very short time. Upon hearing this, she admits she has serious doubts but others keep telling her it is the right thing for her to do. By simply taking control of her life again, she can avoid this unhappy future. That is what the tarot card meaning in the Future position is really all about. It is to show you where you are headed right now, today, if nothing changes. The future can be changed if your client pays attention to the rest of the cards in the reading.

Outcome: Strength – Passion. The instinctual nature. Taming of primal energies. Making friends with one’s “animal” nature. Strong drives and emotions. One’s natural faculties are a source of strength.

I would not put my faith into this although some things do seem a bit accurate. Put your faith in God!
I read the Tarot and agree with milly_1963, future outcomes are just “possible” future outcomes. They are what may happen based on what is happening in your life right now.
Nothing is set in stone. Nothing is concrete.
You never lack any control over your life.
Like milly_1963 said, Tarot is based on the Future, the Past, and the Present. I perceive the Tarot was being a tool of insight. It can keep a person from going down that road that could possibly lead to the future.
However, you are obviously upset. So, screw the future outcome that was told to you. You don’t need that power of suggestion.
Now, what I do want you to look at though is what was told to you about the past and the present. I want you to critically think about those two things.
After your done thinking, you should have a clearer mind and a better understanding of the past and present. Then you can come up with several future scenarios good and/or bad based off of the insights you gleaned. (If bad scenarios apply you do need them to help keep you away from past/present bad habits or what have you.)
Then you can pick the future scenario you want for yourself and strive for that.

Considering that the reading was via a professional, then yes you can still change outcomes.
Outcomes tend to be predictable when the individual isn’t willing to try a new route to success. A reading shows probable outcomes, so change habits & change outcomes.
